Who is Sara!?

Sara is a would be medical student who constantly finds herself in Winnipeg, MB through no fault of her own. She oftens claims to be a close personal friend of Guy Maddin. In truth, she met him once and feel in love. She spends most of her time trying to think of new, interesting ways to stalk the director.
In her free time, she is heavily committed to social justice, finding interesting music and sultry poses with fridges in the more interesting parts of the 'Peg. The Guess Who suck, the Jets were lousy anyway, and the golden boy is her own personal gaurdian angel.

Freqently Asked Questions
So what makes you think you are so awesome?
I try to write with irony, as is my wont. Actually, "as is my wont" is my second favourite phrase, but this is really neither here nor there. I don't actually think I am that awesome, but sometimes I think some of the things I write or take pictures of are interesting and worth sharing. It is these times that I disregard, and instead give you "the awesomeness". By the way, if you follow this website regularly, you can proudly call yourself an awesomenite! You like?
Can I write as a guest?
Sure! Just send me an email and include the title, content and how you want to be identified.
Can I write for Indier Than Thou?
Maybe! This is a little harder because I am not the only person involved and I need the consent of everyone. However, having said that, please ask. Let me know what you want to review, and if you include three previous music reviews (other arts reviews really aren't that helpful, sorry), I can hopefully send you the record.
Will you write something about me?
Sure! Again, contact me and include whatever salient information you want told to the world, and I will tell it.
Will you link to my site.
Maybe! If I like it, I will. That does sound a little harsh, doesn't it? Sometimes, when two websites meet, it just wasn't meant to be.
Is that your bum in the picture?
Yes it is. I am quite attached to it really. Oh Oh! It's my best ass(et). Brutal, huh?
How do you decide what to reveiw?
We try to find music that is not getting much mainstream coverage, but we feel should be. Independent music has become very popular, and I think that's a great thing. It means that I can now listen to the radio without cringing. However, with this new popularity sometimes comes the loss of the Indie ethos: a DIY attitude, a conviction not to sacrifice artistic vision for greater profits and above all else a commitment to producing interesting music. We try to promote bands and artists that uphold this ethic.
Oh, and we are independent of the stuff we review. We never review projects that we are part of, nor bands or artists we are affliated with, either directly or indirectly.
What gives you the right to tell other people what to think of this music?
We are not telling people what to think. Each piece is the opinion of its author, and the reader is under no obligation to share it. Check out the music and see for yourself.
Can black people be rascist?
Yes.
Do penguins have knees?
Yes.

Who is Panda?

Panda is actually an endagered species (Ailuropoda melanoleuca "black-and-white cat-foot"). He is a mammal classified in the bear family, Ursidae, native to central and southern China. While pandas in general prefer bamboo, Panda loves policy.
His main diet is the traditional Oxbridge pre-government diet of politics, philosophy and economics. He has been known to spend hours foraging for post-feminist neohegelian ecomarxism for avid taxidermists. Panda may or may not have trouble mating.
Panda would like to go on the record and state that he finds the name "Indier Than Thou" obnoxious, while recognising it is meant to be ironic.

Who are you?

Hi. My name is Kit. I had a dream (what makes that Martin Luther King guy so special? [credit Sarah Silverman]). I originally created this page so that friends, family and enemies could find out what I am up to without my sending out millions of annoying mass emails. That was my dream when I thought I would spend this year traveling the world. So far, I have been to London. Ontario. Also, Ottawa. So, that dream is not yet dead, but it's dying the slow death of so many plans put off until you have the money. Instead, I'll post things that I have found interesting, and hopefully you might find them interesting too.
I originally hail from our nation's capital. I then went to school in Toronto, taught in Seoul for a bit, spent a year and change in London (ont), and am now trying to make enough as an illegal immigrant to see some interesting places. Will I be successful? Find out in future installments of "The Awesomeness"
